We're off again!

Today sees the start of Road Trip Number 2!

We are booked as part of a group to visit the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) in Sutherland on 13th June. To get there we have decided to do a huge circle around the Northern Cape, travelling 3000km in the 9 days that we have allocated!

We will take in the delights of Prince Albert in the Karoo (Desert), Beaufort West, The Big Hole at Kimberley (the largest man made hole in the world), The Augrabies Falls near the Namibian Border, Springbok, Lambert's Bay and Paternoster on the West Coast before heading inland for Maitjiesfontein and up to Sutherland.

It's going to be a lot of driving (again!) but no doubt it will be good fun! It's a shame that Elaine's passport is currently on it's way to Pretoria otherwise we could have 'popped' in to Botswana and Namibia, perhaps I might do it on my own!

We'll try and post some updates from the Blackberry and add some photos to the blog when we get back. Until then, see you 'now now'.

Hello Jon and Elaine,

Just wanted to say "Congratulations" to you both. I caught up with your blog the other day and it was great to hear your news. You sound like you are having such a fantastic time and the photos are great. Anyway, dont forget to catch up when you get back to UK. Have tried to email and text but dont think you've received them.

Anyway, enjoy!!

Emma & Bruno!
